BASIC FUNCTION: Manage and oversee manufacturing responsibilities for the production, packing, safe keeping, storage and distribution or PET containers throughout entire plant operations safely and in accordance with SOP, GMP, and HACCP throughout all shift operations. Exercises independent judgement and decision making in the scope of carrying out day-to-day duties; up to and including operations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, inventory, and new mold projects. Assists in meeting production goals; including quality, spending, safety, and environmental compliance. Assists in coaching employees and training employees, including assisting with employee evaluations. Makes recommendations and implements improvements in processes, procedures and equipment. Enforces rules, regulations, and policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Hands-on supervision or Production and Maintenance hourly employees to ensure safe manufacturing of a variety of jar containers

·Ensure product is maintained in food safe environment

·Maintain sound knowledge of AOKI/Nissei Blow Molding Machines

· Take necessary readings and make required adjustments with detailed record keeping

· Train line and production team on the safe operations of equipment

·Must be available to occasionally meet with night shift

· Oversee compliance in accordance with HACCP principles to ensure passing of HACCP audits

·Oversee and engage in production plant operations, mold changes, maintenance, and shipping

· Improve production efficiencies and minimize mold changes and scheduled downtime

·Responsible for outside contractors, preventative maintenance schedule and parts/crib inventory

· Responsible for all new mold and equipment projects, from inception to finish, including specifications, engineering detail and cost comparisons

·Monitors the processes to recognize equipment failures or limitations and recognize deviations from optimum plant performance. Utilizes problem solving techniques and investigative skills to develop corrective and preventive actions

·Supervises schedules (product and production personnel). Coordinates efforts with other departments respectively to the level of the task

·Must provide clear and concise written reports to the President and General Manager

·Analyze and evaluate staff strengths and weaknesses and recommend training/improvement strategies

·Partners with quality and HACCP to ensure compliance

· Writes, updates, and maintains the documented procedures for the production area in accordance with the Quality/HACCP system

· Increase the production personnel’s technical understanding of their products and processes through improved training and communication

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree or relevant experience, mechanical/electrical engineering experience preferred. Proven/demonstrated skills and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, electrical and schematics required. Blow molding and plastic injection molding experience strongly preferred. Must possess strong supervisory skills. Strong math, reading, and written and verbal communication skills required. Requires sound business logic and a knack for optimizing the day-to-day functioning of a company. Computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications are required. Must possess or be willing to obtain Certified Forklift License. Must be able make frequent bending and twisting movements as well as stand for the duration of your shift. Must be able to handle required lifting weight of 50-pounds.

Schedule: 12 Hour Rotating Schedule-Night Shift 7pm-7am

Sign-on Bonus of $500

Pay Rate: $21.30 per hour + $.50 shift premium

Work Hours are 7pm-7am on a rotating schedule. Work 3 days (36 hrs) one week, 4 days (48 hrs- OT$!!) the next. We will also train you on the day shift to get you up to speed.
Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:
Operate Aoki, Proco and all associated equipment in the safe manufacture of product. Ensure all Uphold HACCP standards in a manufacturing environment. Perform other tasks as assigned by management team. Follow safety and housekeeping procedures. Operate and document accurately any instrumentation (including readings and production reporting logs).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Visually inspect product on conveyor from Aoki. Operate Proco Palletizer. Take daily readings of cooling tower, chillers, and low and high air compressors. Finish pallet packing with banding and auto stretch wrapper.
• Ensure all plant policies, safety procedures and environmental regulations are upheld.
• Monitor quality to the highest degree during production and final inspection.
• Control product quality and standards by performing shift QC control tests on designated equipment including weight, height, wall thickness, volume and crush test..
• Full communication with other employees within the team.
• Be part of a team in optimum production, while striving to exceed job standards, regarding safety, accuracy, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven High School Diploma or GED; Basic Math Aptitude; Experience operation of blow molding Aoki, Proco machinery preferred. Excellent communications skills; basic computer skills; familiarity with production machinery; Must be able to handle and/or lift 40-50 lbs pallets.
